Heritage Library

The Educational Endowment Fund sponsors various programs including three integrated projects: the Heritage Library, Bookstore and Program Lecture Series which are "dedicated to scholarship, cultural education, and spiritual renewal".

The Library, officially opened on October 23, 1994, houses approximately 3,000 books and has over 15 subscriptions to periodicals (including scholarly reviews from Princeton, Oxford, Cornell and Columbia Universities). It also holds a substantial collection of VHS Tapes and DVDs, including recordings of the Heritage Lecture Series, lectures from Columbia's Modern Greek Studies Program and NYU's Alexander S. Onassis Center, as well as productions by GOTelecom. The collection has grown by the donation from parishioners' estates and a concerted effort to keep up to date with the works released by the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Seminary Press, St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Press and other seminal Hellenic and Orthodox presses and writers. Every donated or purchased book receives a permanent bookplate with the name of the donor, who is thereafter honored as a Friend of the Library.

The Library is organized according to the Dewey Decimal System and maintained by Kosta Kojis, the librarian.
