A Message From Father DennisDecember 4, 2009 “What shall I give to the Lord in return for all His benefits towards me?” We hope you are aware that we have been in our nearly complete new home for the last two months. By the Grace of God, contributions from over 400 families and the hard work of many volunteers finally made the move possible. Presently, we are using the fellowship hall to conduct services. Thus the designation “nearly complete” will remain until such time as the three remaining parts: church, gymnasium and architectural details are completed. All three must be finished before we can truly say that our new home is complete. As we continue to move forward our immediate priority is the completion of our church…our gift to God. Presently our Capital Campaign account has been expended and we are now drawing on our Atlantic Bank Loan/Mortgage in order to enclose the church’s shell and prepare the core for completion. All of this work will take place within the next few months. Our goal, with your help, is to complete the church with no debt, which requires $2,500,000 in additional contributions. If we can raise the full amount through donations we can complete our church without debt and dedicate other funds to the completion of the gymnasium and the remaining architectural details that have been deferred to a later date. Please keep in mind that any shortfall to our goal of $2,500,000 will have to be borrowed. It is not our intention to stop construction – we have come too far to stop now! We are asking everyone to consider our appeal… • To the new families or individuals who have come to our community, we welcome you and sincerely hope that you will become active supporters of our church and the endeavor before us. • To the members who have already pledged and have fulfilled or exceeded your pledge we are truly grateful as we know we are where we are today because of you. As much as we don’t like having to ask you again, we hope you recognize that we have no choice and that you will respond by making an additional donation. • To those who have already pledged but have not completely fulfilled your pledge, please do so now. In total, there is over $700,000 in outstanding pledges. • To those who have not made any contribution to the Capital Campaign please find it in your heart to give to this worthy endeavor. If everyone gave within their means we could make substantial progress towards achieving our goal. Finally, we cannot over emphasize the fact that your financial support and generous contributions will help alleviate and at best eliminate a very heavy financial burden that our community will have to bear. What more can I say other than to implore you to make a contribution today. Just think what we could accomplish if everyone gave generously! Naming Opportunities
Dome & Cross- The focal point of our church and complex reflecting Byzantine architectural tradition so characteristic of a Greek Orthodox Church. $500,000 |

Exo-Narthex/Plaza of the Faithful- The exo-narthex is the outer vestibule of the church which leads into the Narthex and is preceded by the plaza area immediately in front of the church and exo-narthex. The Plaza of the Faithful will honor the donor(s) and provide a space for outdoor gatherings. $350,00 |

Garden of Rememberance- An enclosed “garden area” located behind the altar of our church. The area will be dedicated to the memory of those members of our Archangel Michael Church. Granite pillars will be affixed to the rear wall of the church facing the garden and the names of the dearly departed will be inscribed upon those panels. $250,000 |

Campanella: Bell Tower- A distinctive architectural element that will call the faithful to worship. $250,000 |

Narthex- The formal entrance into the church. A place where one will light a candle or vigil light, reverence the icons of Christ, Panagia, the Archangel Michael, Saints or event of the day and prepare to enter the worship area of our church. $250,000 |

Library/Board Room- This room will be dedicated to the advancement of our faith and cultural heritage. It will be the repository of volumes of books, periodicals and electronic media that will be available to all who seek wisdom and knowledge. Foyer/Gallery- The Main entrance and area that connects the Gymnasium, Great Hall and Administrative Offices. An open area that will be used for displays and special artistic presentations. $150,000 |
